Bathroom faucet overview

The bathroom faucet, otherwise known as “lavatory faucet”, is a valve that is used for the controlled release of water into your bathroom sink. Bathroom faucets are available as either a single piece or two piece set (split spout and handles), and can be wall mounted, hybrid mounted, vessel sink bathroom faucets, or basin bathroom faucets. Some of the most commonly chosen bathroom faucets for bathroom remodeling are:

• Single hole bathroom faucets – a one handle centerset of combined spout and handle. Especially suited to vessel sinks, they come with a cover plate with three 4`` hole installation points.
• Widespread bathroom faucet – a spout with separate hot and cold water handles, that is best suited to 6-16 inch pre-drilled sink holes.
• Mini Widespread bathroom faucet – this kind of bathroom faucet gives the appearance of having independent hot and cold water handles (as in the widespread bathroom faucet style), only it doesn’t have a base unit and accommodates three 4"" pre-drilled hole installations.
• Wall Mounted bathroom faucet – these are most suited to free standing vessel sinks, yet may require a separate wall mount valve and drain. They are also the most elegant.
